Six very original motion picture opportunities!

Dear Motion Picture Producer/Director/Actor,

My uncle, Eric Hatch, wrote the 1930s screwball comedy My Man Godfrey that was made into a legendary film in 1936 starring William Powell, Carole Lombard and Misha Auer. The American Film Institute rated it the 44th funniest movie ever made. The 1957 remake starring David Niven and June Allyson was not on the list.

Dreary remakes of classic films are rampant this season. Here are six original stories that would make wonderful films. Three of them were optioned numerous times, although no film was ever made. The plots and characters are timeless.

Contact me and I will gladly send you a reading copy.

Cedarhurst Alley — the madcap story of a homeowner who finds himself in the main landing pattern of Kennedy Airport and is so distraught by the noise that he sends a World War II barrage balloon into the main landing pattern.

The Fingered City — The Mafia runs a candidate for mayor of New York

The Stork — Two entrepreneurs go into the frozen sperm business and offer descendants of great historical figures in politics, literature, finance and the arts.

Coldcocked — A homeowner in Center City Philadelphia shoots six teen-age intruders and becomes the most famous man in America.

Jack Corbett, Mariner — High drama aboard a Liverpool packet in the brutal winter of 1849-50 on the North Atlantic and the compelling true story of the relationship between one of America’s foremost financiers and the old Irish seaman who changed his life.

From Method Marketing —“The Yin and Yang of Fr. Bruce Ritter,” the beloved Jesuit priest who saved thousands of runaway teens and his tragic personal downfall. Complete text is on the Method Marketing page.

On this Website you will find reviews and first chapters as well as prior film option history. As I say, I am happy to send you a reading copy.
