In the photograph of The New World, you will see these two flags flying from the masts.


Flying from the mizzen mast (the short mast nearest the stern) is the 24-star flag American flag.

 

Flying from the mainmast (center mast) is the burgee of Grinnell, Minturn & Company's Liverpool (Blue Swallowtail) Line.
